Brace yourselves as you enter the Paladin World of Warcraft. Blizzard Entertainment has developed another outstanding fighter in the war world… the Paladins! Different from the other characters, paladins are hybrids, meaning they can perform multiple roles; they are thus regarded as great fighting machines!
Paladins are holy warriors. Fierce opponents in the battlefield, they can leap into the heat of the battle with their divine abilities and courage. Being the defenders of meek, they fight for their lands against the devil forces in the Dark Portal. You too can be the great Paladin in the War World!
Be bedazzled with your powers! Being a paladin, you can use various auras, blessings, seals and spells to help yourself and the others. You have magical shields and other defensive abilities to protect you against minor damages. You also have strong offensive spells against demons and undead.
You are capable of healing others and you can sustain yourself and your allies through your powers. You can cause great damage to your enemies by using seals. Seals are 30 second magical spells cast during an attack. The effect of this seal can last from 10 to 20 seconds making your enemies weaker.
Let the game Begin! Choose your equipment. Focus on items which give defense and stamina. You can choose a blunt weapon and shield, a sword, or a 2 handed mace or sword. The 2 handed weapons are better against monsters carrying lots of armor. 1 handed weapons on the other hand, are good against monsters with less armors. You can try all the weapons’ abilities first to check and gradually switch between your choices afterwards.
Choices for profession. You can also perform various jobs. Want to be a blacksmith or a miner and create your own armor? Yes you can! You can also be an engineer or a miner and create special engineering items and range of weapons. You can be an alchemist and make potions for healing. Furthermore, you can enchant and put spell on your equipment to make it more powerful.
Along with your profession come the horses! You are capable of having your own armored and customized war horse after finishing levels 40 and 60 quests. You can start by talking to horses’ trainers, Brandur Ironhammer or Duthroian Rall. After completing the quest in Epic Mount, you can repeat the final event in Scholomance just for fun and talk to Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker if you want.
Want to be a good Paladin? Along with the good choices of profession, equipment and horse, you must have certain techniques in the battlefield. Here are some:
1. Stop the spell casters before they cast you their spells. Just use the “Hammer of Justice”. You can also use the Hammer of Justice if an ally is being attacked by a monster. Be certain however that your ally will not stun the enemy first before utilizing the Hammer of Justice so that it will not be wasted.
2. If all players in the party know about the Blessings, ask them the Blessings they want. Also ask your allies when the Blessings weaken. You can also work out with other Paladins on which Blessings and auras you’ll use.
3. In extreme cases where you have no choice but to run, you can use the Divine Shield. Continue running and use Lay on Hands Spell if you have to. Having these abilities, you can run for long distances even with the presence of monsters.
